Question: Can the council confirm how members of this municipal district can access environmental information that is provided by Kildare County Council to the Environmental Data Exchange Network (EDEN)?

Report: EDEN is the EPA’s online web portal for local authorities and licensees to communicate with the EPA and provides an online gateway to Environmental and Radiological Protection Licensing, Monitoring, GIS and Reporting applications for organisations to communicate with the EPA”

Access to EDEN is not available to the general public. Extensive information is however available to the public on a wide range of environmental data on www.catchments.ie.

If any of the members have any specific queries, they can contact the Environment Department and a member of staff will assist them.
