Municipal District: 16 December 2022

Motion: That the council outline the scope of the cycling review and other transport studies currently underway in Celbridge from the perspective of how they could be used to  develop a vision for the future transformation of Main Street to a pedestrian & cyclist  prioritised public realm, that is child, youth and age friendly, for social, environmental  and economic benefits for the community and local businesses.

Report: The Sustainable Transport Section has sought to examine the review of  existing cycle facilities in Celbridge to tie in with the proposed active travel bridge,  which was approved by the elected members earlier in 2022. No funding has been  secured from the NTA for the implementation of schemes in the area.

Issued by Mr D Hodgins, Senior Engineer Sustainable Transport & Traffic  Management Team.
