Municipal District meeting: 11th November 2019

Motion: That the council provide a solution to physically prevent illegal parking between the bus stop on English Row and the entrance to The Mill in Celbridge.

I raised this motion because Dublin Bus indicated in a meeting that they are frequently blocked on English row from pulling in and out of the bus stop there due to illegal parking.

Response from Council: There are double yellow lines at this location enforced by APCOA with 36 notices issued this year to 11 November. The Municipal District Engineer does not deem it necessary to alter the road layout at this location as it may create a hazard.

Follow up: Following discussion the Engineer stated that he would look at whether other options may be possible for addressing this particular area to facilitate bus flow.
